Who Was Jure Robič?
The cycling route is named after Jure Robič (1965–2010), one of the greatest ultra-endurance cyclists in history. He became world famous by winning the legendary Race Across America (RAAM) five times and setting a 24-hour road cycling world record. His extraordinary achievements continue to inspire cyclists around the world, making this route a fitting tribute to one of Slovenia’s greatest sporting legends.
