The Parenzana gravel route begins immediately after the Sečovlje Border Crossing, where the main trail gives way to a quiet country road climbing gently through the Mediterranean landscape. It is one of those routes that simply feels too tempting to ignore.
Following a well-maintained gravel surface, the climb winds through peaceful woodland with very little traffic and beautiful natural surroundings. Although the route gains 97 metres of elevation over just 4.74 kilometres, the gradient remains comfortable, making it enjoyable for gravel bikes, mountain bikes, trekking bikes and e-bikes.
This short gravel adventure offers a completely different experience from the coastal sections of the Parenzana. It is an ideal choice for cyclists looking to explore beyond the main route while enjoying a relaxed climb through the Croatian countryside.
