The Rimske Toplice → Zidani Most cycling route follows the Savinja Valley through one of the most scenic sections of eastern Slovenia. Covering 7.85 km with 142 metres of elevation gain, this route offers a pleasant combination of riverside cycling, valley views, and moderate climbing.

Starting in Rimske Toplice, a historic spa town known for its thermal springs, the route gradually leaves the town behind and continues through the green landscape of the Savinja Valley. Forested hills, open views, and quiet roads create a varied cycling experience despite the relatively short distance.

With more climbing than the Laško → Rimske Toplice section, this route provides a slightly greater challenge while remaining accessible to most recreational cyclists. The fully paved surface makes it suitable for road bikes, gravel bikes, trekking bikes, and e-bikes.

The destination, Zidani Most, is one of Slovenia’s best-known railway junctions and an important transport connection between several regions of the country. Located at the meeting point of major river corridors, it has long played an important role in Slovenian transport history.

This route is part of the Laško – Rimske Toplice – Zidani Most Cycling Series, documenting connected cycling routes through the Savinja Valley and providing GPX-supported rides for cyclists exploring this beautiful part of Slovenia.
